A request sent to the Board of Regents Monday by eight professors from the University of Minnesota’s Center of Bioethics asking for further investigation into the suicide of a former clinical trial patient (known as the Dan Markingson case) has attracted attention and support of other faculty.
Faculty for Renewal of Public Education sent a follow-up letter on Monday.
The letter was signed by four members of the group, and largely reiterated the contents of the original request.
A copy was posted on Twin Cities’ journalist Molly Priesmeyer’s blog.
