The Gophers football team added its second commitment to its 2017 recruiting class on Sunday.

Eric Abojei, an offensive lineman from New Hope, Minn., committed to the school verbally on Twitter. He is a three-star recruit according to Scout.com and also has an offer from Iowa State.

Abojei is listed at 6-feet-4-inches and 310 pounds on Scout.com, and will play his senior season at Robbinsdale Cooper High School in the fall. Incoming Gophers freshman wide reeciver Phillip Howard also played at Robbinsdale Cooper.

He is the second offensive linemen to commit to the Gophers 2017 class. Blaise Andries from Marshall Minn. committed to the school via Twitter on April 9th.
