Minneapolis Public Works crews will begin a comprehensive spring street sweep on Tuesday, April 14. The sweep will last about four weeks.
While the city works to clean up dirt left behind by melting snow, students and residents should keep their eyes out for temporary "no parking" signs that will be posted 24 hours prior to street sweeping.
Vehicles still parked on the street when the sweepers come through will be ticketed and towed to the Minneapolis Impound Lot. The city will also make about 3,500 automated phone calls each evening to let residents know their street will be swept the next day.
Visit the city’s street sweep home page to find out when each street is scheduled to be swept. The weekend before that week, residents can revisit the website to find out the specific day of the week the street is scheduled to be swept.
