A man was attacked by a group of four others late Tuesday near the corner of Cedar Avenue and Third Street South, according to a University of Minnesota crime alert.
Minneapolis police responded to a report of an aggravated assault at about 11:55 p.m. The victim was walking south along Cedar Avenue when four men “engaged” him from the other side of the street.
When he continued walking, the group crossed the street and assaulted him. The victim required medical treatment for injuries from the attack, the report said.
Detailed suspect descriptions are not available at this time, the alert said.
The alert is the sixth since the beginning of September.
