Gophers sophomore forward Hannah Brandt was named a Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Top-3 Finalist on Thursday by USA Hockey. Brandt is joined by Clarkson senior forward Jamie Lee Rattray and Cornell junior forward Jillian Saulnier as finalists. The winner will be announced on March 22.
Brandt currently leads the nation with 61 points. She currently has 21 goals and 40 assists on the season. Teammate junior forward Rachael Bona, who is third in the country in points, was a top-10 finalist for the award.
The award is given to the top player in Division I women's hockey annually. Last year, Gophers forward Amanda Kessel took home the honor. Brandt was a top-10 finalist.
