After recording his second-career shutout and a 21-save performance against Alaska-Anchorage, Minnesota freshman Adam Wilcox was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. 

Wilcox seems to have established himself at the Gophers' starting goaltender after starting the team's last six games. He owns a 1.58 goals-against average, which ranks fifth in the nation. Wilcox's record this season is 5-1-1.
