Two victims were robbed near the University of Minnesota campus Sunday and Monday.
A University of Minnesota student was robbed near the intersection of 11th Avenue Southeast and Fifth Street Southeast at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, according to a University police department crime alert email sent to the University community Monday.
Four suspects approached the victim, pushed him to the ground and stole his messenger bag and laptop, according to the alert. The victim was not injured.
A second robbery occurred Monday at 12:25 a.m. near the intersection of 14th Avenue Southeast and Sixth Street Southeast, according to the alert.
The victim was arguing with two suspects who were in a black, four-door Cadillac sedan, according to the alert. When the victim began walking away, the two suspects left the vehicle and assaulted and robbed the victim, the alert said. The victim was not seriously injured.
