A string of assaults occurred in rapid succession early Sunday morning near the University of Minnesota campus.
All three incidents happened on or near the intersection of 17th Avenue Southeast and University Avenue Southeast at about 2 a.m., according to a campus-wide timely warning email.
The first victim was allegedly assaulted after he told a group of about 20 males to get off his lawn, according to the email.
The group then walked down University Avenue Southeast and assaulted a second victim.
About five minutes after the first two assaults, a smaller group of five males assaulted three victims in that same area.
Only one victim, from the third assault, required medical attention.
The suspects of the third assault were seen leaving the area in a black Subaru. Detailed suspect descriptions were not available, according to the alert.
