An unidentified 80-year-old Wisconsin woman successfully landed a small plane after her pilot husband passed out and later died, USA Today reported.
The woman was not a licensed pilot and said she knows “very little” about flying.
The Cessna's right engine had run out of fuel Monday evening, and the woman radioed for help. A local pilot guided the woman via radio into a safe, though not necessarily smooth, landing.
The local sherrif's department isn't releasing the couples' names, but said they were from the Sturgeon Bay area.
