Cal Poly took advantage of its solid back row, out-digging the Fighting Irish 71-53, and held Notre Dame to a .134 hit percentage. Facing off against a well-balanced offensive unit in California, the Gophers will have to play extremely well defensively, and will have to continue their improvement in the serve-receive, as Mike Hebert said earlier in the week.
