In a couple of weeks 2010 Picked to Click winners Pink Mink are headed to Texas for their first SXSW as Minneapolis rockstars. Thankfully for us, they’re kicking it off in true rock goddess style with a show at the Turf Club. Dubbed “Rock’n’Roll Spring Break,” the lineup will feature both local and out-of-state acts. Doors are set for 8 p.m. on Friday, March 11. Tickets are $7.  Here’s the lineup:

Besides getting the opportunity to escape the subarctic temperatures of home in order to show SXSW what Minneapolis music is all about, Pink Mink has another reason to smile. When A&E chatted with leading ladies Arzu Gokcen and Christy Hunt earlier this fall, they expressed mild distress about the fact that despite playing so many shows, they didn’t even have a band T-shirt. Well, their once elusive T-shirt dreams have become a reality and I would bet that they’ll be available at the kick-off show. Yet another reason to attend.
