As most of you probably already know, Dessa’s tour bus was broken into last Friday evening in Buffalo, NY. According to Dessa, about $30,000 worth of equipment, cash, and computers were stolen. In turn, the band made an Indiegogo page asking fans to donate money to cover their losses. So far, they’ve raised $2,000 more than they originally asked for. Now, I understand the impulse to reach out to fans in times of need, but was it necessary to ask for all their money back? Call me old-fashioned, but I found the campaign rather bold. What do readers think?
