Elmo dug down to the toe of his moonboots to retrieve his sock. It always happens this way, he thought. He had taken all necessary precautions to make the slushy walk to school. He put the bread bags in his boots to ensure driness and pulled his knee highs all the way up, but much to his chagrin, his socks ended up a sloppy mess. Maybe with highs in the lower 30s and partly cloudy skies on Wednesday and partly cloudy skies with high of 40 on Thursday , I won’t need my boots the rest of this week. Elmo prayed for a way out of his kenundrum.
