Minneapolis Target headquarters laid off around 140 employees Wednesday, reports the Star Tribune.
According to the Star Tribune, “Most, but not all, the people who were laid off today were in jobs related to business performance optimization,”
Target also said it will eliminate 50 already open positions, reports KARE 11.
February marked the beginning of this year’s cuts. 550 were laid off at the time.
According to the Star Tribune, “The biggest round came in mid-March when 1,700 employees were let go in one day from its Twin Cities headquarters, where about 11,000 people work.”
Those laid off will receive a compensation package, reports KSTP.
