Here’s a quick note to first-year students: If you aren’t skilled or brave enough to ride your bicycles on Washington Avenue, you really need to wake up four minutes earlier and walk to class instead. The traffic jam along Washington and in front of Coffman is ridiculous. There isn’t enough room in the eight feet of sidewalk space to accommodate three thousand people in an hour and two hundred awkward people riding bikes they haven’t used since fourth grade. You may have grown up somewhere where walking places more than a quarter mile away isn’t cool, but you’re in college now and you need to learn to use the connector or suck it up and walk.
