On Tuesday the Minnesota Student Association agreed to oppose a recommended resolution to the University Faculty Senate that advises the Humphrey School of Public Affairs to cancel Condoleezza Rice’s visit to the University of Minnesota on April 17th.
“The Minnesota Student Association believes in a public University where all ideas, political ideologies, viewpoints, races, genders, [and] religions are all welcome at the University of Minnesota,” Adam Motzko an at-large representative of MSA said on Tuesday.
Motzko and other MSA members urged student senators and MSA leaders in their resolution to attend the University Senate meeting on Thursday and voice their opposition.
University Senate members will be asked to vote on the resolution at their meeting on Thursday.
