Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will officially end his bid for the White House Wednesday afternoon, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Aides say he will mention Romney in his speech at a suburban Washington hotel Wednesday afternoon, but he will not endorse the presumed presidential nominee yet. Gingrich has told Romney he will endorse him eventually.
Currently, Gingrich's campaign is more than $4 million in debt.
Romney has 847 of the 1,144 threshold needed for the nomination, according to the Wall Street Journal delegate tracker.
