University of Minnesota, Crookston Chancellor Charles Casey announced Tuesday he will retire this summer.
Crookston, with 1,600 undergraduate students, is one of the five campuses in the UniversityâÄôs state-wide system.
Casey will officially step down from his position June 30. According to a press release, President Eric Kaler and Senior Vice President Robert Jones âÄîwho oversee coordination among the campuses âÄî will soon begin a national search for a replacement.
Casey, a University alumnus, has held his position as chancellor since September 2005. He has served the University throughout the past 35 years in various roles, including as a two-term member of the Board of Regents.
