The spring equinox passed on March 21, but the threat of snow is still looming.
University of Minnesota students and the rest of the Twin Cities residents can expect between two and four inches of snow on their doorstep on Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory that will last from Tuesday night through noon on Wednesday. The heaviest snow fall will come Tuesday night, though a cocktail with rain and sleet may be possible, according to the NWS report.
The small storm will likely hit southern cities harder. Four to six inches of snow are expected in Albert Lea and Waseca, Minn.
Forecast calls for Tuesday snow, yet again
Minneapolis could see up to four inches of snow by Wednesday morning.
