The third ward neighborhood summit will take place Wednesday night, and will address the impact of proposed transit and transportation systems on the area, which includes Dinkytown. The event, which is hosted by Ward Three Council Member Diane Hofstede, will include presentations from key transportation planners, including MnDOT’s Deputy Commissioner, Khani Sahebjam, Hennepin County’s Administrative Engineer, Joe Gladke, and officials from the University. Officials will be avaiable to hear from Third Ward residents and businesses, who may have concerns about how transit and transportation development will affect them. The event will be held at the Ritz theater from 6:00 to 9:30. Free food and beverages will be provided.
