Student groups such as the Queer Student Cultural Center and the Asian-American Student Union are collaborating on the event.

One of the big issues the students hope to address is “the health disparities of breast cancer,” Jenna Langer, media relations intern for the Academic Health Center, said.

“With early detection, 98 percent of breast cancers are curable,” she said. “So, the deaths that occur from breast cancer are usually because they didn’t do a mammogram or didn’t do a self-exam.”

Students will be able to go “bowling for boobs” – lawn bowling – and play a trivia game with bra-slingshots, Langer said.
