According to the Associated Press , Chipotle will soon be raising food prices to counterbalance a spike in beef and chicken costs.
As of August wholesale food prices have increased 8.7 percent. For all of 2007, the prices bumped 7.6 percent. Fellow fast food restaurant McDonald’s, server of billions, is considering a spike in prices as well. The changes could affect the popular dollar menu, for which the company advertises heavily.
