A gunman shot and killed four people Friday in Santa Monica, Calif., before police fatally shot him, news sources reported.
The man, who has yet to be identified, planned the attack in advance, the Associated Press reported. He was armed with multiple weapons, including a semi-automatic rifle.
After killing two people in a home about a mile away, the suspect carjacked a woman at gunpoint and had her drive him to Santa Monica College, making her stop so he could shoot at police cars and buses along the way.
The suspect had been enrolled at the college as recently as 2010, National Public Radio Reported. Police shot and killed him in the school’s library after he opened fire on students.
