U2 has rescheduled the North American leg of its 360° tour that was postponed in May due to lead singer Bono’s emergency back surgery, the group announced Tuesday.
The band will play TCF Bank Stadium on July 23, 2011, and tickets purchased for the June 27, 2010 concert will be valid for the 2011 date.
All 16 of the North American concerts were rescheduled in the same venues where U2 originally planned to play, U2’s manager Paul McGuinness said on the group’s website.
“It hasn’t been easy to accomplish this and I’d like to thank the managers of the many venues and sports teams across North America and Live Nation Global Touring for their help and cooperation in making this complex new plan possible,” he said.
The European leg of the tour, which was not affected by Bono’s surgery, will begin as scheduled on Aug. 6 in Turin, Italy. The band’s Minneapolis stop is the last currently scheduled.
