Kyla Roehrig collected 15 kills and Brook Dieter added 10 as Minnesota cruised past Notre Dame in three sets, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21. The Gophers weren’t as sharp as they were earlier in the week, but certainly played well enough to win, topping Notre Dame in nearly every offensive and defensive category. Ariana Filho and Katie Vatterrodt both saw time in the match, and nine different players recorded at least one kill for Minnesota. Brook Dieter, Christine Tan and Lauren Gibbemeyer all earned all-tournament honors, with Gibbemeyer deservedly named the MVP. Please refer to tomorrow’s paper for more information on the entire weekend, and reactions from coach Hebert and the players.
