The list of bidders for the new Minnesota Vikings stadium is down to three, including the local contractor that designed Target Field and other stadiums in the Twin Cities, the Star Tribune reports.
Along with Target Field, Mortenson Construction of Minneapolis has also built Target Center, TCF Bank Stadium and Xcel Energy Center, according to the Pioneer Press.
Hunt Construction Group, an Arizona company, is also in the running to win the bid. They designed the Indianapolis Colts' stadium and many others, the Associated Press reports.
Skanska AB is the third firm in the mix. The Swedish contractors have built stadiums for the Giants/Jets, Patriots and Titans, according to the Star Tribune.
The building of the new stadium should be underway by October, with hopes to be completed by the 2016 season.
