It’s Tuesday, the beginning of another week … and it’s a little late in the day for me to be doing this, so I’ll jump right in:
* Pioneer Press movie buff Chris Hewitt has a feature on the upcoming "Watchmen" movie, but more importantly, focuses his article on the contribution that University of Minnesota physics professor Jim Kakalios had to the film: he apparently made sure the stunts in the film were physically possible, and followed the rules of his science.
* The Star Tribune writes about a recent study, which was partially organized by the U of M’s Food Industry Center, about food assistance programs in Minnesota, which revealed that many Minnesotans that are eligible for such programs don’t take advantage of them, and wind up skipping their meals as a result. Food shelves, however, also are having a hard time keeping their shelves stocked during these economic hardships, adding fuel to the fire.
Pretty short today, guys, and I apologize. I promise, we’ve got a good paper coming out for Wednesday, so pick up that one and keep perusing your Daily Digest!
