The Bunge Tower in Southeast Como caught on fire late Friday morning, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department.
The fire was contained within the tower located on 1200 SE. Brook Ave. and was put out quickly by approximately 21 firefighters.
The fire was caused by “a burned out belt” on demolishing machinery, according to a tweet from the fire department.
The Bunge Tower is on a construction site for a joint affordable housing project by Riverton Community Housing and the Maya Commons Project.
No victims or injuries were reported, according to a tweet from the fire deparment.
