The University of Minnesota is in the running for the “Greenest Big University” award.
The poll, held by the Daily Green, a Web site focused on green news, is part of the site’s Heart of Green Awards and is in it’s second year.
The University is up against five other schools. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is the only other Big Ten school in the running.
Professor Shayla Thiel-Stern posted a comment on her Twitter in support of the University’s nomination. She tweeted Monday “I’m sitting in a dark office right now to prove it! @UMNews #UMN is nominated for “Greenest Big Universities” award…”
Votes can be cast on the Daily Green’s Web site.
