One of the main proponents of renovating the University’s Southeast Steam Plant announced his resignation Thursday.
Roger Paschke, treasurer and vice president for Finance at the University, resigned to take an executive position with the O.I.L. Insurance Co. in Bermuda. Paschke, who has been in his current position since 1992, expects to leave his post next month.
He was vocal in the steam plant debate that ended in the University receiving the go-ahead earlier in the fall to begin renovations to the plant.
Paschke currently manages the University’s endowments, real estate, pension funds and debt.
Paschke graduated from the University in 1975 with degrees in political science and criminal justice studies. He became a financial analyst at the University in 1978 and rose to the position of director of asset management in 1985. He later served as the University’s treasurer before accepting his current post.
