A man was assaulted by two others on Monday night near campus, according to a University of Minnesota public safety statement.

The victim was approached around 9 p.m. near the intersection of 15th Avenue Southeast and Fourth Street Southeast.

The three men got into an argument, and the two aggravators pushed the victim onto the ground and dragged him down a hill below street level, according to the statement.

 The two suspects were last seen leaving the scene of the crime. The victim was hospitalized for his injuries.
