The University is still among the nation’s top research institutions, according to an annual University of Florida report, although the institution fell from last year.
The University ranked 13th among all research universities this year, compared to a 10th-place finish last year. Among public institutions, the study rated the University eighth, unchanged from last year’s study.
The ranking is based on each university’s amount of total research, federal research funding, endowment assets, annual donations, National Academy members, faculty awards, doctorates granted, postdoctoral appointments and median SAT scores.
