A man was robbed Saturday morning at 8:45 at a bus stop outside University Village, according to an email crime alert sent by University police Chief Greg Hestness Monday.
According to the alert, the victim was waiting for a bus when two men approached him and asked him what time it was. One then showed the man a gun, told him to give up his valuables, and punched him in the face, according to the alert.
They took the victim’s wallet, phone and backpack, according to the alert.
Police were unable to locate the suspects.
This is the twelfth email crime alert sent to the University community by Hestness this semester.
The University sends email alerts for all crimes on and around campus that may pose a threat to the University community, in accordance with federal law.
