The NCAA’s Legislative Council decided Tuesday that Division I student-athletes can receive unlimited meals and snacks in conjunction with their athletics participation, according to an NCAA release.
The meals are in addition to those student-athletes on full scholarship already are provided.
The meals provision was one of several the council adopted, the release noted. It also addressed drug penalties, strength and conditioning and CPR certification and preseason football practice requirements.
The rules aren’t considered final until the Division I Board of Directors meets April 24, according to the release.
