LAKEVILLE, Minn. (AP) âÄî A student pilot and instructor were injured when their two-seat airplane crashed at Airlake Airport near Lakeville. Dakota County Chief Deputy Dave Bellows says a 46-year-old student pilot and a 45-year-old instructor were practicing “touch-and-go” landings when the crash happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Bellows says the two were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Their names were not released. The plane was destroyed. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.
