Sid Hartman on former Regent Dave Metzen
Star Tribune Columnist Sid Hartman in a column today said that Dave Metzen’s absence from the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents also removes one of the strongest supporters of the U Athletics department. Metzen has recently been appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty as director of the Offfice of Higher Education.

According to researchers at the University of Minnesota, teens are eating more fast food than they did in the ’90s. Yes, more, Fox 9 reports. Apparently, the research found that the percentage of teens eating fast food more than three times a week increased too.
St. Thomas students help Ronald McDonald House near U

University of St. Thomas students are marching 3.2 miles fromt campus to the Ronald McDonald House off Oak Street near the University of Minnesota. The Sunday march will be held to raise money for the house, St. Thomas bulletin says.
