Minneapolis Rolling Stones fans will get some satisfaction this summer.
The band announced Tuesday that it will play at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium on June 3 for their ZIP CODE tour.
“You can’t get much bigger than the Stones,” University Services spokesman Tim Busse said.
The group’s announcement is part of a larger effort from the University to attract bigger acts by adding The Rolling Stones to a summer line-up that already includes Luke Bryan and One Direction.
“What you are seeing this summer is pretty indicative of what the University is trying to do,” Busse said.
Tickets and VIP packages will be available April 13 at 10 a.m. on the group’s website, rollingstones.com. American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public on April 8, according to a statement from the group.
