The Gophers women's tennis team jumped from No. 34 to No. 26 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings on Tuesday.

Minnesota was unranked to start the season but has defeated seven of eight ranked teams en route to an 11-1 record.

The Gophers defeated No. 52 Tulane and No. 50 LSU this past weekend to extend their winning streak to eight matches. Natallia Pintusava won the clincher in both matches to extend her singles winning streak to six, and Alexa Palen improved to 11-0 in singles.

On deck is a pair of Big Ten road matches against unranked Michigan State and No. 20 Michigan. Minnesota has not defeated the Wolverines since 2003.
