The Gophers wrestling team took home three individual titles after severl members competed unattached at the Husky Open this weekend in St. Cloud.
Drew Lexvold won the title at 133 pounds, defeating David Thorn in the final. Thorn will compete in the Southern Scuffle at the end of the month, and is still in consideration for the team’s starting spot at 133.
Freshman Nick Dardanes picked up the title at 141, going 4-0 through the tournament with two majors.
The final title winner was freshman Dylan Ness at 149. He recorded a fall at 2:22 in the title match to add to his already-impressive day in which he had already recorded two pins and a 12-2 major.
It was each wrestler’s the second title of the season.
