Coming into tonight’s home game with Purdue at 8 p.m., the Minnesota womens basketball team sits 1 game back from first place Ohio State and a half game behing second place Michigan State.
Both the Buckeyes and the Spartans tipped off at 7 p.m. tonight.
If things go the Gophers way, they could very well finish the night in a first-place tie.
For that to happen, Minnesota would have to beat the Boilermakers and:
– Ohio State would have to lose on the road to Iowa
– Michigan State would have to lose to Indiana on the road.
Currently, Iowa is beating Ohio State 41-34 with two minutes left in the first half and Michigan State is leading Indiana by one at 34-33 with 10 minutes left in the second half.
We will see what happens by the end of the night, but Minnesota has a chance to be on the top of the Big Ten before the night is over.
Watch for more updates throughout the night.
