Minnesota’s women’s hockey team remained No. 1 in the latest U.S. College Hockey Online poll, which was released Monday.
Minnesota (15-1-2 overall, 12-0-2 WCHA) earned 12 of a possible 15 first-place votes after splitting a weekend series with No. 2 Dartmouth, which received the other three first-place votes this week.
It is the 11th-straight week the Gophers have been ranked No. 1.
Minnesota has nearly a month off before returning Jan. 7-8 to Ridder Arena to play host to Bemidji State.
Ross earns accolade
Forward Bobbi Ross was named WCHA rookie of the week after scoring two power-play goals in the split with Dartmouth.
Ross has seven goals, including four on the power play, in addition to 10 assists this season.
Setterstrom awarded
Minnesota football junior offensive guard Mark Setterstrom was named to the Rivals.com All-America Team on Monday.
Setterstrom was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the media. He started all 11 games this season.
