The Minnesota Daily has experimented with Twitter before — most notably sending tweets to students with updates on voting lines during Elections Day — but will now post updates regularly with breaking news and stories to read at www.twitter.com/mndailynews, or you can text follow mndailynews to 40404 to get updates.
The social messaging site allows readers to follow news, friends, etc., via cell phone or Web. The Daily will post quick blurbs on news happening on or near campus along with links to those stories for your access by Internet. If you’re not on Twitter, the Daily will soon be offering a separate text alert service that allows you to get breaking news text messages directly.
