The Gophers have given an offer to 2009 three-star cornerback Kerry Lewis, according to GopherIllustrated.com. Rivals.com ranked Lewis, from Lancaster, Texas, as the 86th best player in the 2009 class. His offer sheet is impressive, as Rivals reports offers from Arizona, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Vanderbilt and Tulsa. Coach Tim Brewster has 10 commitments for 2009, but no sure-cornerbacks. Rivals currently ranks Minnesota’s 2009 class as the 46th best in the country.
