Higher education officials say Minnesota colleges will likely face cuts in funding this year as lawmakers grapple with a $1.2 billion deficit. Clerical workers at the University of Minnesota fear job furloughs as the school faces cuts in state funding. And I donâÄôt think it is possible for me to be more offended, hurt or insulted than I am right now. How in the heck can the University of Minnesota justify campaigning for money for buildings in tough economic times when there are people losing their jobs due to lack of funding?
