Interim University President Robert Bruininks will give the State of the University Address today at 3 p.m. in Room 25 of Walter F. Mondale Hall, at 229 19th Ave. S. Minneapolis.
Bruininks is expected to discuss the University’s current opportunities and challenges. He will also speak about the upcoming biennial request to the state Legislature.
A main theme in the address is expected to be the University’s commitment to the people of Minnesota.
Bruininks will speak to the University Senate, the Faculty Senate and the Twin Cities Campus Assembly in a joint meeting. Faculty, staff and other members of the University community are also expected to attend.
The address will be broadcast to the Duluth, Crookston, Morris and Rochester campuses via interactive television. Questions from the audience will follow the address.
