Republican U.S. Reps. Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul will make a stop at the University of MinnesotaâÄôs Northrop Auditorium at the end of September to counteract President Barack ObamaâÄôs health care proposal. The two U.S. Representatives are outspoken adversaries of the plan. The two will discuss monetary reform, limited government and free-market economics, according to Young Americans for Liberty — the group hosting the talk. Bachmann, R-Stillwater, hosted a town hall meeting to discuss health care in August in Lake Elmo and will host a second meeting on the issue Saturday in St. Cloud. Bachmann is in her second term representing Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District, and Paul, R-Texas, made a run for the Republican presidential nomination in last yearâÄôs election.
