ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) âÄî Gov. Tim Pawlenty has signed two bills that will lead to millions of federal stimulus dollars for Minnesota water infrastructure and unemployment aid. Minnesota will get $130 million in unemployment funds through legislation that qualifies the state to receive the federal money. Water projects are set to get $107 million. They are the second and third pieces of stimulus legislation Pawlenty has signed. He signed authorization for nearly $600 million in transportation spending last week. Roughly $4.6 billion is coming to the state and local governments from the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The aim is to create jobs and boost the economy.
