Clear your Monday nights for the summer, kids. Despite last summer’s bummer announcement that the Walker Art Center’s “Music and Movies in Loring Park” was donezo, today MPR divulged that the Walker is back on board, thereby putting a happy end to the outrage of the fervent lovers of the event. If you’re unfamiliar, “Music and Movies in Loring Park” combines live performances from local music acts with outdoor screenings of classic films. Best part, it’s free. Once warm-weather mode and attitude fully hits (maybe the attitude part already has for some of us) grab your blankets and help reaffirm that “Music and Movies” is definitely something this city needs to keep around.
