A candidate for Minnesota Student Association President, Adam Motzko, has dropped out of the race and came out in support of Mick Hedberg's campaign in a statement Sunday.
"The issues facing students here at the University of Minnesota will only be successfully addressed if we come together as one unified voice," Motzko and running mate Mark Haakenstad said in a public letter.
In elections for president of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, two of the three official candidates also removed their names from the ballot. Current GAPSA President Brittany Edwards is now the only remaining official candidate, according to an email from Edwards to members of the student assembly.
University of Minnesota students can cast their ballots online until Wednesday at 8 p.m. at this website.
