Three people, including one University of Minnesota student, were robbed near Dinkytown late Tuesday night, according to a University crime alert.
The victims were walking near the corner of 12th Avenue and Fifth Street Southeast when a group of five people dressed in dark clothing demanded their belongings, according to the report.
Two of the male victims were assaulted before the suspects made off with wallets and cell phones. Neither was seriously injured, according to the report.
The suspects were described as four males and a female in their mid-20s. The races of the suspects are unknown.
Police say the incident may be related to a robbery in the same area on Friday night, when a male victim was robbed by six to eight suspects.
